Mini-Series - Part 4

-
The next time I regained consciousness,
I was lost for a moment
in both time and space,
until I realized I was still on the couch
given the fact that a soft cushion was under me.

Did I just fall asleep on the couch unnoticed?

It was a stressful week from work
aside from the drama with Emily,
maybe Jason left me alone to get some rest.

In the midst of my thoughts,
I realized just now that my lips was connected to another.
My first thought was Emily.

Then I sniffed the surrounding area,
the sweet floral scent of peach apricot floating in the air.
Was this a dream?

I could hear my heart beat pulsing quickly all over my body,
each of my muscles were tightening from their relaxed state,
then I finally opened my eyes
to witness an unlikely scenario.

Although I was so close that I could only see
her closed eyes,
her nose,
and a few strands of black hair falling forwards over her face,
I knew who it was.

Lily.

The past couple of days have been a mix of a break and focusing more on my WIPs. Sorry about that. I started from scratch on one of my novels, and I realized just how long of a path it will take to reach the end this time around. Flash Fiction #12

This week would be the very first cruise ship that I had taken in my entire life so far. My parents paid for the trip, so I treated it as a sort of celebration from university. The day that we would take the airplane down south to the Carribean to board the cruise ship made my heart pump faster, and my palms all sweaty. Along with being my first cruise, this would be my first time on an airplane. The fear of falling from heights started from my childhood when I fell a couple of times from the top of my bunk bed at home. The trip didn't seem so bad and thankfully I didn't get motion sickness while on the plane. The only uncomfortable feeling I would mention would be the change in air pressure on my ears both at the take off and landing. Never mind about that. New Year's Eve

It's almost the end of 2012! I feel as if time really went by fast as the beginning of the year still feels fresh in my mind. It feels fitting as this is my first blog posting. =) The purpose to this blog would be sharing bits and pieces of my thoughts from time to time. It would be a place where my thoughts are gathered. In addition, I am an amateur writer and it would be a good place to practice my writing skills in the form of possible flash fictions or short stories when I get a good idea to start off. I hope you'll enjoy that when they go up from time to time... One of my resolution for next year would be to try to write at least a minimum of 1000 words each week on one of my working stories or short stories since I didn't really do as much writing as I would have hope last year.
