Mini-Series - Part 2

"It's Ken! I can't believe it's been a while!"
A female voice yelled from across the room,
and it got louder by each second until she was right beside my ears.

I didn't bother to look up from within my arms.
Judging from her voice, I knew who she was.
Black, shoulder-length hair. Usually tied up into two ponytails.
Round-shaped glasses. Braces. Chubby cheeks,
but she has lost some weight from what I last remember.

"Lily, can you please be quiet?" Jason scolded her.

"Why? What's up?" She sounded worried and sincere.

"Not now. Later." Jason flicked her away in a hurry, annoyed.

Lily glared at her older brother.
"Fine, but you better tell me later!"

When Lily left the room, Jason sighed, "Sorry about that. Girls these days..."

"It's okay, I quite like how she can always be positive.
It makes me wish I had that right now."
I finally looked up at Lily getting something to eat in the kitchen.

The past couple of days have been a mix of a break and focusing more on my WIPs. Sorry about that. I started from scratch on one of my novels, and I realized just how long of a path it will take to reach the end this time around. How I never had this thought about writing this novel before befuddles me... This flash fiction story came to be after I took a walk at a park yesterday. Flash Fiction #12

This week would be the very first cruise ship that I had taken in my entire life so far. My parents paid for the trip, so I treated it as a sort of celebration from university. The day that we would take the airplane down south to the Carribean to board the cruise ship made my heart pump faster, and my palms all sweaty. Along with being my first cruise, this would be my first time on an airplane. The fear of falling from heights started from my childhood when I fell a couple of times from the top of my bunk bed at home. The trip didn't seem so bad and thankfully I didn't get motion sickness while on the plane. The only uncomfortable feeling I would mention would be the change in air pressure on my ears both at the take off and landing. Never mind about that. New Year's Eve

It's almost the end of 2012! I feel as if time really went by fast as the beginning of the year still feels fresh in my mind. It feels fitting as this is my first blog posting. =) The purpose to this blog would be sharing bits and pieces of my thoughts from time to time. It would be a place where my thoughts are gathered. In addition, I am an amateur writer and it would be a good place to practice my writing skills in the form of possible flash fictions or short stories when I get a good idea to start off. I hope you'll enjoy that when they go up from time to time... One of my resolution for next year would be to try to write at least a minimum of 1000 words each week on one of my working stories or short stories since I didn't really do as much writing as I would have hope last year.
